2018 hajj: FCT board commences biometric exercise

The Federal Capital Territory Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT-MPWB) has disclosed that the Board has commenced the biometric registration exercise for the intending pilgrims from the FCT for this year.
The exercise which is being carried out by a firm assigned by the Saudi Arabian government in Abuja before issuance of visa is set commence with Bwari and Abuja Municpal Area Council on 13 of July, 2018 at the Rivers House in Abuja.
While, those from Kuje and Gwagwalada Area councils would have their biometric exercise on July, 14th 2018.
According to the spokesperson, Muhammad Lawal Aliyu, who said that Intending Pilgrims from Kwali and Abaji area councils are to be present for the exercise on the 16th of July, 2018 at the venue, while those from the headquarters would get their biometric captured on the following day.
He further disclosed that all intending pilgrims who have completed their payment should see their Area Officers at the venue for the collection of their e-passport before proceeding for the exercise.
Adding that the exercise is a mandatory aspect of visa processing application for hajj this year and failure to participate would disqualify the intending pilgrim from performing the hajj.
