2015: ‘Nyako, Atiku, others can’t win Adamawa for APC’

A former member of the House of Representatives representing Yola North, Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency of Adamawa state, Hon. Sa’ad M.C Tahir, has said that the combined forces of Governor Murtala Nyako and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar amongst other stalwarts “cannot win the state for the APC in 2015.”

Tahir, who was until recently an APC chieftain before his defection to the PDP, stated this in an interview with Blueprint in Yola, describing the APC as “a party that has no electoral value but believed in perpetrating injustice, unfairness and impunity and will end up in traumatising Nigerians based on the manner the activities of the party is being run.”

He alleged that the interim caretaker committee of the party in the state, chaired by Mr. Kobis Thinnu Ari, who doubles as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), had turned itself into a one-man show, doing only the bidding of the governor.

He added that the registration exercise conducted by the interim committee was characterised by all manners of impunity, injustice and undemocratic tendencies leading to divisions within the rank and file of the party.
He expressed optimism that President Goodluck Jonathan would win his re-election and that the PDP would take over Adamawa and other North-east states.
