The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Wednesday, unveiled a distinctive procedure for accessing the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results, diverging from the traditional online platform.
JAMB in a statement by its spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, instructed candidates to send a specific text message to designated numbers using the phone number registered during the UTME registration process.
In a departure from previous years, the board asked candidates seeking to obtain their 2024 UTME results to adhere strictly to the new protocol outlined by JAMB.
Instead of accessing results via the Board’s website, JAMB asked the candidates to send a text message with the keyword “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019, utilizing the same mobile number utilized during registration.
It added that the message should be sent from a SIM card not subscribed to any data bundles.
The board emphasised that this method is the sole authorized means of result verification and urged candidates to refrain from visiting cybercafes or engaging third-party services for result checking.
It, however, cautioned against the circulation of purported printed result slips, stressing that the official results are only accessible through the designated text messaging service.
