The Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Zamfara state branch, Monday condemned the recent attack and destructions on innocent nomadic village in Anka local government area of Zamfara state by a group of outlawed vigilante.

The spokes person of the association in the state, Comrade Abdullahi Shehu, stated this in a telephone interview with Blueprint in Gusau, the state capital.

“We are totally devastated on how some outlawed vigilante members are attacking some law abiding and innocent Fulani community in some part of the state,” he said.

He described the recent incident in Anka local government area of the state by the group of outlawed vigilante members popularly known as Yansakai as barbaric and inhumane, hence the need for urgent action by the concerned authorities to checkmate their activities in the state.

The association promised to work hand- in- hand with the state government and other relevant sister security agencies to address issue of insecurity as a result of activities of armed bandits for peace to thrive.

The association distanced itself from attacks and kidnappings in Anka, Tsafe and other parts of the state as speculated in the state.

“I will clearly state that the MACBAN in Zamfara state has never been involved in sponsoring or masterminding any attack or kidnapping of innocent people in the state. So, we distance ourselves from all the speculations making the rounds in the state,” he said.

Blueprint gathered that the group of outlawed vigilante members launched attack on innocent nomadic village in Anka local government area in the last three days which led to killing of some Fulani settlers and destruction of their hamlets.
