Th e Zamfara state government has awarded contract worth over N2.2 billion for the reconstruction of Gusau Eastern by-pass. Th is was made known by the state Commissioner of Information, Alh. Umar Jibo, while fi elding questions from journalists at the end of the state executives council meeting yesterday.
According to the commissioner, already the state government had reached agreement to release 50% down payment for the project. Th e commissioner further stated that, the contract was awarded to TRA-ACTA construction company with six months period to complete the project. He called on the contractor to ensure the contract is based on contractual agreement and specifi cation, while urging people of the state to cooperate with the company to enable it
