Zamfara state governor, Abdulaziz Yari, has formally signed into law the 2018 appropriation bill after the passage by the state House of Assembly.
Speaking shortly after signing the budget into law at the Government House yesterday, the Speaker, Sanusi Garba Rikiji said the budget as earlier presented by governor Yari this month was N130 billion, saying after careful scrutiny, the estimates were adjusted to over N133 billion.
Rikiji said the state would the ecological funds from the federal government and that the capital expenditure has been reduced while the recurrent expenditure was increased.
In his address shortly after signing the appropriation bill into law, governor
Abdulaziz Yari commended the state lawmakers for the speedy commitment to ensuring the passage of the budget as presented before them early this month.
He assured the people of the state that his administration will apply the necessary measures to ensure successful implementation of budget for them to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
