Xenophobia attack: Uwajumogu lauds Air Peace boss

The Chairman Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, has commended the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Air Peace Allen Onyema, for airlifting Nigerian victims of Xenophobic attacks back to the country, describing the act as “a rare patriotic zeal”.

In a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, Uwajumogu charged other business men and women to emulate the gesture, stressing the need for Nigerians to do business with conscience.

He appealed to  President Muhammadu  Buhari to make provisions to rehabilitate and integrate the returnees into the Social Investment Scheme so as to get them back on their feet again.

“I am also appealing to governors of South East States and indeed other Governors to immediately put a committee in place to help ameliorate the trauma of the returnees from their respective states as well”, he said.
