We want to change the face of Nigerian football – Solanke, boss of Olumo United

President of Olumo United, one of the new entrants into Nigerian football, Segun Solanke, has stated the intentions of his Abeokuta based NLO side to make a bold statement in Nigerian football.

Speaking with journalists in his Lagos home, Solanke rued the administration of football in Nigeria, describing it as uninspiring and lacking the indexes to attract investors.

He was however, quick to state that he has come on board with a special module to help change the narratives positively.

” We intend to change the narratives and we would use the success template at Olumo United to make a bold statement that football can be better in Nigeria.

” Olumo United is new to the Nigerian football community, however, we have recruited top professionals into the management of the team.

Solanke who is a successful businessman and sportspreneur, added that one of the unique selling points of Olumo United would be its uncanny ability use football to rejig and promote our culture and tradition.

” For example, we have adopted the reverred Egba anthem for Olumo United. That anthem on its own, strongly evokes the cultural heritage of the great Egba people,” Solanke reveals sweetly.

” That is just a tip of the iceberg, as Olumo United is set to raise the bars and set newer standards. Watch out for our commercial packages that would help to attract fans and investors, ” he enthused gleefully.
