We shall ensure Yobe gets good educational standard – Buni

The Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni, has promised to take education in Yobe to a universally acceptable standard.

Buni gave the assurance while speaking at the reception organised in honour of the Yobe recipients of the National award, at Ajuji Hotel, Abuja.

The governor who was honoured with Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by President Mohammed Buhari said his administration is committed to ensuring better life for the people through infrastructure development and human capital development. 

He added that for any meaningful development to be made, the educational system must be revitalised and taken to greater heights.

Government, he said, is leaving no stone unturned in actualising this set objective. He called on all to shun mischievous acts and sustain support for the government and its machinery working towards bettering Yobe state and its citizens.

Governor Buni appreciated the recent oneness of Yobe people saying that unity is key for progress.

He assured that government will continue to play its part for the unity, progress and security of the people. 

Buni also attributed successes which earned him the honour to the love and support of the  people generally, irrespective of political differences.

On his part the Senate President, Dr Ahmed Lawan, while thanking the people for the love and opportunity to serve, noted that the award of Grand Commander, Order of the Niger (GCON) can be traced to his service to the nation, assisted by the unflinching support of the people.
