The Niger state command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has dismissed reports of killing of innocent soul in the early hours of Tuesday in Minna.
The NSCDC asked people of Niger to disregard the false news.
The PRO made the clarification in a statement in reaction to the report claiming that its personnel shot dead one man in brighter area of Minna.
He said, “The command wishes to debunk the allegation as false and baseless and called on the general public to disregard the allegation.
“NSCDC as a trained and law-abiding security organisation will never act in such barbaric and unethical manner.”
He quoted Commandant Ahmed Mohammed Dandare as calling on the general public to remain calm and not to take laws into their hands.
