We didn’t suspend Kadi village head- Gudi Emirate

The Gudi Emirate council in Yobe state,  has denied the insinuation that the emir has suspended the village head of Kadi, Abubakar Lumo for coming out to ask government to address the scarcity of water in his village.

In a press statement signed by the secretary to the council, Musa Yakubu on Wednesday, the emirate dismissed the insinuation saying it was the handi work of rumour mongers.
He described the allegation as a mischief aimed at destroying the reputation of the entire emirate.

The statement added that, there was never a time emir of Gudi suspended the village urging the general public to discountenance the rumour.

“The allegation that the kadi village head has been suspended is a blatant lie. I want them to produce any document to backup their claims, they want to besmirch the image of the emirate by propagating rumours.

“Let us say it categorically clear that there is no such decision. The emir of Gudi has not suspended any traditional ruler in his emirate.” He said.

He called on people of the emirate to remain calm and continue to give their support and cooperation to the emirate and the government.
