UNIOSUN First Class graduates to get automatic jobs – VC

Managements of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has disclosed their intention to employ First Class graduands of the institution with a view to encouraging them to contribute their academic excellence to their alma mata.
This is just as the institution stated that all 1296 students that were graduating this year had been trained with entrepreneurial skills.

The vice-chancellor, Prof. Labode Popoola, disclosed this at the weekend during a press conference organised by the institution as part of activities marking the 6th Convocation and 10the year anniversary of the University, in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
He said 54 out of the 1296 students were graduating with First Class, while 512 bagged Second Class honours, upper division.
The VC said all the graduands were made to study entrepreneur course so as to prepare them for the challenges after graduation.

He boasted that “no student of UNIOSUN will graduate and be jobless because of adequate entrepreneur skills they have acquired during their study periods in the institution.”
“The 54 First Class graduands were at the vantage position to work in the university as graduate assistants, to contribute their academic excellence to the growth of the Ivory Tower,” he said.
Those that would be receiving award, according to Prof. Popoola were “Prof. Peter Okebukola, Prof. Gabriel Olawoyin, Prof. Ajibola Obafemi.”
He said “everything has been perfected for the convocation ceremony slated for Thursday, April 6.”
