UCL matchday 2 preview:Top sides out to double advantage

Bayern Munich will look to make it two wins from two in Group A when they take on Lokomotiv Moscow at the Lokomotiv Stadium. The Bavarians were impressive on the opening day, cruising to a 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid. They thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-0 at the weekend and will be hot favorites to win this.

Following a disappointing draw against West Ham, Man City will travel to face Marseille at the Stade Velodrome. The Citizens have had a mixed start to their league campaign but were 3-1 winners over Porto on the opening day of the season. Marseille were beaten 1-0 by Olympiacos and will now look to pick up points on their turf.

Liverpool will take on Midtjylland at Anfield. The Reds snuck past Ajax 1-0 in their Group D opener while Midtjylland were trashed 4-0 by Atalanta. The story is unlikely to be any different here with the Reds expected to cruise to victory.

Boosted by their El Clasico victory over Barcelona, Real Madrid will hope to bounce back from their shock loss to Shakhtar Donetsk when they tackle Borussia Monchengladbach at Borussia Park.

Atletico Madrid will take on RB Salzburg at the Wanda Metropolitano. Diego Simeone’s men were far from impressive against Bayern and they will now look to hand Salzburg their first defeat of the new campaign.
