Senator Alli distributes 200 bags of fertilisers to farmers 

 

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Electoral Matters and senator representing Oyo South senatorial district, Sarafadeen Alli, weekend, distributed 200 bags of fertiliser worth millions of naira to farmers in four agrarian local governments in his senatorial district. 

While distributing the bags of fertilisers to farmers in Ibarapa North, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East and Ido local government areas, he stated that he is committed to the development of the agricultural sector in his senatorial district.

Represented by Comrade Gbenga Elegbede, Senator Alli stated that the support for farmers was crucial for food security and economic growth. He added that the gesture was a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to the agricultural sector. 

Senator Alli said the impact of the fertiliser distribution is expected to enhance agricultural output, improve crop yields, and contribute to the economic growth of the benefitting local communities.

The chairman Senate Committee on Electoral Matters charged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the fertilisers and encouraged them to continue their hard- work in feeding the nation.

Representative of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN),Mr Akeem Oladiran, while speaking after the distribution,commended Senator Alli for his efforts in ensuring the welfare and productivity of farmers in the district. 

Oladiran said the distribution of fertilisers would go a long way in improving crop yields and ultimately the income of farmers.

The chairman of Agbe Semilore Lanlate Farmers Association, in his remarks declared that the distribution would alleviate the financial burden of purchasing fertilisers as well as promote sustainable agriculture practices in the district.
