Uba Sani tasks citizens on deeds to engender peace, progress

Kaduna state Governor, Senator Uba Sani has appealed to citizens of the state to carry on with the good virtues and lessons of Ramadan and to engage in deeds that would engender peace and progress of the state.

He made the call on Wednesday at the Emir of Zazzau’s Palace during the Sallah Durbar celebration shortly after the Eid-el-Fitr prayer in Zaria.

According to him, “we have prayed for the peace of our state in the Month of Ramadan and I want us to carry on with the good virtues and the lessons of Ramadan and continue to work for the peace and progress of the state and the country generally.

“We are facing some challenges as you are aware, mostly insecurity, which we are all working closely together with the stakeholders and government at the federal level in addressing them. We also have other challenges that we are looking at generally, we are calling on our citizens to continue to work for the progress of our state.

The Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli commended the Federal Government, Kaduna state government and security operatives for the efforts put in place to ensure peace in the state. He also commended the joint effort by the Federal Government and Kaduna state government towards rescuing the abducted Kuriga school children.

“The effort of the Federal and Kaduna state government towards resettling the Tudun Biri community is highly commendable. I want to also commend our Islamic clerics for the special prayers they offered during the Holy month of Ramadan in ensuring peace in our state,” the Emir added.
