Troops of Army Super Camp Malumfatori have killed several Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) commanders and friend fighters during massive clearance operations at the Lake Chad Basin.
The troops also destroyed the terrorists’ camps and hideouts located at Tunbun Gini, Tunbun Nbororo, Tunbun Kayoma, Tunbun Kaza, Tunbun Fulani at the fringes of Lake Chad in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The SWAP killed during the operation, according to Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, are: Abu Usman, Alhaji Shettima, Modu Mainok, Bukar Gana, Abu Summayya, Amir Taam and Amir Kuraish.
Enenche said the Nigerian Military and would continue to work in synergy with security agencies are to ending the insurgency and other security challenges in the country.
