A monarch in Ijebu-Igbo area of Ogun state, Oba Alade Meta (King with Three Crown) of Imope land, Oba Tajudeen Omotayo, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen Saturday.
A source from the town said the Monarch left his palace around 11:00am with his butter color jeep plate for Ijebu-Ode.
He said he was stopped by the gunmen on his way back home around 3:00pm, at Okeeri of Imope and took him away, leaving his vehicle on the road.
The whereabout of the monarch cannot be ascertained as the kidnappers were yet to establish any contact as at the time of filing this report.
Also, Police authorities were yet to confirm the incident.
