We successfully operate drugs revolving fund in Kano – Commissioner

Kano state government has said that it had succeeded in operating drugs revolving fund (DRF) scheme in at least 700 health facilities out of the 1, 000 health facilities across the state. The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso, disclosed this recently when a delegation from Zamfara state, led by the Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Lawal M. Liman, the Commissioner for Justice, and the Attorney-General and other dignitaries paid him a courtesy call.

Getso, who expressed appreciation for the visit, pledged to provide them with whatever information they might require for their speedy development. Earlier, Liman said they were in Kano for a study tour on how the drugs revolving funds scheme “is working effectively in Kano and other health challenges being addressed in the state despite its cosmopolitan nature.” He commended the Kano state government for the feat in revamping health care services in the state which attracted other neighbouring state.

In their separate remarks, the attorney-general and commissioner for justice and the permanent secretary thanked the ministry for the warm reception accorded to them, pledging that the cordial relationship between the two states would be sustained.
