A mild drama took place at Area One at the weekend, when a military officer embarrassed a VIO official at Glo Bus Stop, behind the newspaper distribution and agents’ venue.
A VIO, Mr. Mike MD, arrested Golf 3 saloon driver with Abuja registration number for parking and picking up passengers at the wrong place, which is offensive according to law.
The military man and passersby pleaded on behalf of the driver, but the VIO remained adamant, insisting on penalizing the defaulting driver. Consequently, the soldier collected the car keys and attempted to zoom off with the VIO. This caused passersby to rain insults on the VIO, while others were not happy with the manner the soldier treated the officer in the public.
