YSFON inaugurates Lagos excos, appoints Ajide as South-west patron

National executive members of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Saturday in Lagos, inaugurated the executive of its Lagos state chapter.

The event which held at Kelin Hotels, Surulere, Lagos, was witnessed by Nigerian football personalities such as Dr. Felix Owolabi, Kadiri Ikhana, Dahiru Sadi, Segun Fetuga, amongst others.

The newly inaugurated YSFON executive is led by ex-international Tajudeen Disu as Chairman, with Tunde Alade as Vice-chairman; Ganiu Akanni as General Secretary; award-winning journalist Taiwo Alimi, as Publicity Secretary; Bremner Alada was appointed as Treasurer. Other members include Miss Aderonke and Innocent Inojie.

The twin event also saw the Executive Chairman of Surulere Local Government, Hon. Tajudeen Ajide Yusuf, honoured as the South-west Grand Patron of YSFON.

According to the national executive body of the grassroots football organisation, the investiture of Ajide, is a recognition for his immense contributions to the development of grassroots football in the country.

In his acceptance speech, on behalf of other members of the state executives, having sworn allegiance to the organisation,  Tajudeen Disu, promised that he will lead the team to work assidiously towards rebranding, reenergising and taking YSFON in Lagos State to greater heights.

He added that grassroots football in Lagos State would soon begin to enjoy a refreshing breath of life.

Three gold cups to be competed for amongst U-16 boys and girls football clubs, was donated by its newly appointed South West grand patron, Hon. Tajudeen Ajide.
