Sen Wamakko loses elder brother

The District Head of Lokobi in Wamakko local government, Alhaji Lima Tambari is dead. The monarch died at the age of 85, following a brief illness.

The deceased (Ubandoman Lokobi) was an elder brother to the former governor of Sokoto state and the incumbent senator representing Sokoto North senatorial district, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko

The deceased died Sunday evening at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto and has since been buried according to Islamic rites

The late Liman Tambari’s funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Wamakko Central Mosque, Liman Shehu Ardo Wamakko.

The funeral prayer was attended by the younger brother to the deceased, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Sokoto state governor, Dr Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto.

Others were Speaker, Sokoto state House of Assembly, Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga, Secretary to the State Government , Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, former Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi

At the funeral were former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Tanzania, Alhaji Sahabi Isah Gada, some members of the Sokoto state house of assembly, commissioners and special advisers.

Senator Wamakko also used the medium to thank all those who graced the funeral of his elder brother and prayed to Allah to reward them abundantly.

A special prayer was offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased by Mallam Muhammadu Dangande Wamakko, the Chief Imam of Dinkyal Jumu’at Mosque.

The late Liman Tambari Wamakko left behind three wives and 15 children and many grand children.
