Sallah: I ‘ll take Yobe to next level – New governor

The Executive governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni, has said while the policy pronouncements of his administration are still fresh in the minds of the electorates, he has reassured that the Herculean task before his administration was to take Yobe to the next level.

Buni made the disclosure on Tuesday in a state-wide broadcast marking the end of Ramadan fasting.

“We will soon embark on commencement and policies of continuing from where the immediate past administration has stopped and consolidate on them.

“Therefore during this special day of Eid-El-Fitr, I wish to appeal to our people to keep faith and trust in Allah and continue to pray for improved security in the state and the country at large” he said.

While praying for bumper harvest in the 2019 cropping season, governor Buni then sought for support, cooperation, worthy advices and suggestions as part of contributions for the advancement of the state.

Reports gathered as at time of filling-in this story showed that sallah celebration in Yobe was hitch-free unlike in the past when suicide bombers attacked Eid grounds and killed worshippers.
