Rivers: Court issues arrest warrant on Navy Commander

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja Monday issued a bench and arrest warrant on the Navy Pathfinder Commander, Sam J. Bora for alleged flagrant disregard to court orders.

The court order was issued by justice Oshomah of Federal High Court 4 in suit no FHC/PH/MISC/191/2020, directing the Inspector of Police (IGP) and any of his officers to bring him before the court on December 3, 2020.

A Port Harcourt based legal practitioner, Barrister Chijioke Woke, who is handling a case involving one of his clients, Precious Nafiri, and the commander applauded the warrant of arrest order saying that the officer was allegedly in flagrant disobedience to court orders over his client’s case.

Barrister Woke in an interview with journalists in Port Harcourt Tuesday said the commanding officer despite repeated order for him to appear before the court, placed himself above the law and refused to appear.

He said his client was arrested on 21st August, 2020 by the Navy Pathfinder officers in Rumuolumeni allegedly on the orders of the Navy Commanding Officer.
