Ododo’s victory at tribunal deserved – Group

A political support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC), G37 has congratulated Kogi state governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo on his victory at the State Election Petition Tribunal.

A statement issued in Abuja by the national coordinator, Comrade Evans City said the judgment was a testimony that the election was free and fair.

The national coordinator stated further that the people of the state should be happy that the tribunal has validated the victory of the workaholic governor who has demonstrated his zeal to better the life of the people in the state.

“Governor Ododo is an exemplary leader. He has made the workers welfare a top priority since he assumed office as governor of the state.

“Many people are testifying to his wonderful work and we pray God gives him the enablement to continue the good work after this distraction has been removed by the judiciary,“ he stated.

He called on all the oppositions who dragged the governor to court, especially the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Alhaji Murtala Ajaka, to return to APC and support Ododo to promote peace and development in the state.

“We are calling on the opposition political leaders to embrace peace and join hands with Ododo for the overall development of the state.

“We call on the former deputy publicity secretary of the APC, Murtala Ajaka and his supporters to drop their swords and rejoin the APC for the sake of peace and progress of the state,” the national coordinator pleaded.

On Edo Poll, Comrade City urged the Edo citizens not to make the mistakes of returning to PDP, adding that retaining the party is as good as belonging to a regional politics that does not help them to attract national presence.
