Rage as Wike ‘retweets post mocking’ Peter Obi

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Friday over a tweet that allegedly derided Obi.

A Twitter user, Qudus Akanbi posted a tweet to allegedly mock Obi following reports of his detention in the United Kingdom.

He stated that the LP flagbearer was the first presidential candidate from Nigeria to be detained at an airport and he described it as a shame to Nigerians.

Qudus tweeted, “Fellow Nigerians meet Mr. Peter Obi, the first Presidential candidate in the world to be detained by The UK Government at Heathrow Airport. Obi is the first Presidential candidate to be jailed Abroad. Look at the records and see how Peter Obi dent and disgrace Nigerians.”

Following the content of the tweet, governor Wike retweeted the post which later got reactions from Nigerians.

Gogoman tweeted, “Useless jobless foolish Papa Lolo. Shut up your stinking mouth. Peter Obi is not on the same level as you.”

Jimitike wrote, “Nyesom Wike, you have stepped on a tiger’s tail. You will not know peace. The OBIDIENTS will come after you. You will be exposed. All your atrocities in Rivers State will be made public. Drunkard.”

Omonobauku tweeted, “Grin Grin Grin Funny but no need to hit a man when he is already down and out. It’s time to move on from this circumstantial Obi thing, as his time in opportunistic political limelight is over and done with; even if his is Obidiot followers think otherwise. His sojourn into presidency of NGR is OVER. A president of southern extraction is already in situ for the next 8 years, following which presidency would return to the North for another 8 years; at which time Obi would be aged 77 plus and politically irrelevant as far as elections of 2039 is concerned. Shikena.”

Following the reactions from Nigerian Twitter users, Wike has removed the tweet from his Twitter page.
