PDM state chairmen disown Bashir Ibrahim

The People Democratic Movement (PDM) has said Alhaji Bashir Yusuf Ahmad is not the national chairman of the party, and that he has no capacity to function or speak as such.
It said the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has already been dissolved since November 24th of 2016, adding that on July 4, 2017, the party also got a Federal High Court injection stopping Bashir Yusuf Ahmad from parading himself as the PDM national chairman.
Speaking in Abuja after the meeting of the 36 state chairmen of the party and that of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), alongside the Chairman of the National Advisory Council and National Secretary, the party said it was invigorated by the Federal High Court’s judgment, even as it prepares to participate in the forth-coming general elections at national and state levels.
According to the Chairman of the National Advisory Committee, Chief Frank Igwebuike, Bashir Ahmad, who is parading himself as National Chairman of the party has not only broken the laws of the country but has also gone ahead to disobey the constitutions of the party and disregarded the judgment of the high court which struck out his petition and awarded cost against him.
Igwebuike said Bashir Ahmad is neither a member of the party, nor was he recognised by any of the 36 state chairmen, including that of the FCT.
