Oyo paying N30, 500 as minimum wage to workers – Aide 

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Labour Affairs, Barr Bayo Titilola-Sodo, has said Oyo state government is now paying N30, 500 as minimum wage to its workers.

He stated this weekend while speaking with newsmen after he was given a meritorious award by Governor Makinde at the Oyo state 2022 Governance Retreat themed: “Finishing Strong.”

He stated that the present administration in Oyo state in addition to meeting its responsibilities as at when due is paying workers’ entitlement and senior citizens are not left behind.

He said: “The minimum wage in Oyo state is N30,500 and we have continued to meet our responsibilities as at when due. Paying workers’ entitlement is not limited to the active workers, as the senior citizens are not left behind”, he said.

Barrister Titilola -Sodo added that Gov Makinde does not wait for federal allocation before paying workers in Oyo state.

Speaking at the retreat, Governor  Makinde stated  that the retreat was an opportunity to evaluate the governance policies being executed by his administration.

Governor Makinde stated that the retreat will among others enable his administration to make informed decisions about any adjustments needed as we strive to serve the good people of Oyo state better.
