Osun guber: Aregbesola’s wife leads campaign for APC

The wife of Osun state governor, Mrs Sherifat Aregbesola, has urged market women to vote for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Con- gress APC), Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, in the September 22, gubernatorial elec- tion.
The first lady who led hundreds of women to major markets in Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu federal constituencies, gave assurance that the APC candidate will be fair to women in the sharing formula, when elected.
In her address, the governor’s wife urged the market women to vote for the candidate of APC so as to let the good work of Aregbesola continue.
She maintained that the foundation laid by Aregbesola’s administration would be jeopardized, if the opposition takes over power.
Speaking, a member of the House of Representatives, Ayedade/Ayedire/Isokan federal constituency, Hon.
Ayo Omidiran, appealed to market women who are yet to collect their Permanent Votes Card (PVC) to make sure that they collect it before the election.
She lauded market women for the role they played in ensuring the re-election of Governor Aregbesola, urging them to go out en mass and vote for APC in the September 22 election.
Omidiran who also recalled the support of the APC-led federal government to the market women, stated that the ongoing distribution of N10,000 to 30,000 petty traders in Osun state was a promise kept by President Muhammadu Buhari.
She noted that Governor Aregbesola has in no small way supported market women through the promotion of small scale businesses.
She recalled that the state government has given interest free loan to market women, saying that Aregbesola’s administration has given adequate recognition to market women than any other government
