Okowa urges door to door campaign in Delta

Delta state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has appealed to Deltans to convince residents of the state to vote him and PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in Feb. 16 and March 2 general election.

Governor Okowa said this in Agbor and Owayibu in Ika south and Ika north-east local government area of the state during the PDP campaign rally urging them to campaign door to door for alandslide victory.

Okowa said that all the achievement of his administration in the last four years would be triple if voted to power as governor.

Governor Okowa said he would improve on the engagement of widows across the 25 local government into the state health insurance scheme, where every widow is entitled to free health services. No matter the degree or severity of the illness that may confront them.

Dr. Okowa spends over N23 million monthly to care for
widows and over 5,000 despondent widows from each ward in the state benefitted from the monthly stipends of N5000.

While promising to extend the number of widows’ slot under Widow Welfare Scheme and empower women more in his next administration

The former Governor of the state, Chief James Ibori urged Anioma people to do away with acrimony the brotherly contest saying ” faction can occur but there is need to rise above faction”.

Chief Ibori said “Urhobos will support you, they have done it before and they will do it again. I keep emphasising that it is the turn of Anioma to complete their tenure. All our brothers in Delta central should give unity and a chance to Anioma.

According to him, ” I am to thank the people of Ika because as you can testify and Anioma supported me fully during my time and that is why I decided to come here to thank you, even if we decided not to campaign here, we will win”.
