Ogun: Local security operatives arrest kidnappers, rescue victim 

The So-Safe Corps, a local security outfit in Ogun state has rescued one cattle rearer, identified simply as Oseni after being kidnapped at Olorunda-Lukosi, area of the state.

The rescue was sequel to a distress call received by the Corps Patrol Team, which prompted the Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo, and his team to swung into combing the location.

The Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, AC Moruf Yusuf, in a statement made available to Blueprint, Sunday, said the kidnappers had disposesed the victim of the sum of N130,000 with the documents of his motorcycle.

Yusuf further revealed that the kidnappers also demanded for N4,000,000 ransom, before they could release their victim.

While the victim’s family agreed to pay the said ransom, the Corps Patrol Team’s timely response led to the arrest of two suspected kidnappers, whilst others were at large, despite the intensive combing of the location.

“The arrested kidnappers, Mohammed Lawale, and Sarafa Asimiu, have been handed over to the police for further interrogation and prosecution”, the statement said.
