NSE: Equity market dips by N9bn

Transactions on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange on Wednesday sustained downward trend as value of equities depreciated by N9 billion.

Specifically, market capitalisation of listed equities declined by 19.89 basis points to N12.947 trillion from N12.956 trillion reported the previous day.

The NSE All Share Index went down to 29375.25 points from 29395.14 traded on Tuesday. Investors exchanged 237.714 million shares worth N1.978 billion in 4113 deals against 200.686 million shares valued at N2.886 billion in 4856 deals

An analysis of the investment for the day indicated that Unilever Nigeria Plc led gainers table, growing by N1.30 kobo to close at N32.00, Lafarge Wapco followed with a gain of N0.75 kobo to close at N13.25 kobo, Cement Company of Northern Nigeria gained N0.50 kobo to close at N14.50 kobo, Boc gas added N0.41 kobo to close at N4.54 kobo while C & I Leasing appreciated by N0.41 kobo to close at N5.50 kobo.
