NPFL: Lobi Stars succumb to first loss against Rivers United

In the matchday 5 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) high riding Lobi Stars of Makurdi succumbed to Alex Oyowah decisive goal as Rivers United defeated “Yes Father Boys’ by a lone goal  at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday.

Abia Warriors beat Heartland 1-0 in the oriental derby with Meme Okike scoring the decisive goal on eight minutes.

At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United defeated Sunshine Stars 3-2 in a five-goal thriller.

Michael Olalusi scored twice for Sunshine Stars, with Bello Lukman (brace) and Michael Ibe on target for Katsina United.
