Nigeria’s biggest problem is lack of education- Obasanjo

The former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has said one of the biggest problem Nigeria has is education and development.

The former President disclosed this Thursday while addressing the graduants at the second convocation ceremony of Chrisland University held at the school campus in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

His words, “We have 14 million children that should be in school and are not in school that’s more than the population of many African countries”

He then urged the graduating students to remain focus in spite of the difficulties in Nigeria, ” there are still opportunities”, he stressed

The vice chancellor of the University, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola who congratulated the twenty-seven graduates who are being awarded with bachelor degrees and professional certificates in entrepreneurship, said the lecture would further open the graduands’ eyes to opportunities to be self-employed.

She said the university had instilled in the students entrepreneurial skills that would turn them into job creators and not job seekers.

Babalola, however, said the university management is proud of the number of graduates having been part of the university’s history.
