Niger promises robust partnership as ACReSAL gets new project coordinator 

 

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state has appointed Mallam Raji Shehu Adam as the new state project coordinator of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landcapes (ACReSAL).

This followed the retirement of the outgoing project cordinator, Usman Garba Ibeto, after  35 years in service. 

Speaking at a brief ceremony to usher in the new project coordinator, Wednesday, the Commissioner of Enviroment and Climate Change, Hon. Yakubu Mohammed Kolo, expressed the determination of government to partner with development agencies for the benefit of the people. 

He said that ACReSAL, a World Bank assisted project is a veritable tool for the implementation of the Green Initiative and reclaiming of degraded lands for productive activities in the state.

He promised that the ministry will give all necessary support to the new project coordinator towards successful implementation of the green economy policy of government.
