The new Commissioner of Police in charge of Jigawa state, Usman Sule Gwamna, has promised to rid the state of criminals.
The CP who said this while addressing journalist in his office on Tuesday in Dutse said journalists are partners in disseminating useful information to the general public.
According to him Jigawa is a peaceful state that need to be secured in order to allow developments to strive.
He urged journalist to shun sensational reports that can create tension or jeopardise the peace being enjoyed in the state.
He also called on the the good people of Jigawa state to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious movement noted anywhere in the state.
