NCPC boss Pam congratulates Muslims, urges love, patience

The executive secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam, has congratulated the Muslim faithful on their successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

He said the celebration of Eid el-Fitr “gives our Muslim brothers and sisters a unique opportunity to thank God for His mercies and protection over their lives.”

This was contained in a press statement issued by the Commission’s head of media and public relations, Celestine Toruka.

The statement read in part, “The fact that this year’s Eid e-Fitr coincides with the transition period of this government which goes to show that the fasting of our Muslim brothers and sisters during the Holy month of Ramadan will surely guarantee the much-expected smooth hand-over to a new democratically elected government on May 29, 2023.”

According to the statement, Rev. Pam urged all Muslims to be their brothers’ keeper by extending their hands of fellowship to all irrespective of their religious differences, tribes and political persuasions.

“Although the country is currently facing some challenges as a nation, with your prayers and the powers of the Almighty God, certainly the glory of Nigeria will be restored sooner than expected.

“Once again I wish to heartily congratulate all our Muslim brothers and sisters for being part of history as they celebrate this year’s Eid el-Fitr with all sense of humility, humanity, love and patience.”
