NCCE ends verification of private colleges of education

The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) said it has  concluded verification exercise in most  private colleges of education in the country.
This was contained in a press release signed by Sulaiman Garba Kura, the deputy director in charge of public relations in the commission, who also stated that the exercise, which started in April 2016 came to an end recently.
“The exercise which started in April this year came to an end recently. It involved private colleges of education in all the six geo-political zones of the country and covered the verification of the organisation, administration, curriculum implementation, academic programmes among other aspects of development in the colleges.
“At the end of the exercise, the commission will analyse the data collected and advise the colleges to improve on areas of deficiencies in conformity with the minimum standards of the commission.
“Experts in various fields of specialisation were included among the staff of the commission that carried out the exercise in the affected private colleges of education”, he added.
