Nasarawa: Stop misleading the public, APC tells PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Nasarawa state chapter has warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to stop misleading the public by misinterpreting every statement made by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

The APC chairman, Aliyu Bello, gave the warning, Wednesday, during a press conference in Lafia.

He said since the split judgement of the governorship election petition tribunal, PDP has continued to validate lies and all sorts of brigandage to people of the state and the country at large.

“As a party, we in the APC will continue to sue for decency and avoid joining issues with the opposition.

“The public should be aware that we have maintained silence even in most provocative circumstances and have condoned so much indecent conduct from the opposition PDP whose major preoccupation is to create chaos with spurious and uncouth remarks.

“We therefore urge the PDP to thread with caution and allow peace to reign.

“They have decided and determined to misinterpret every statement that emanates from anybody that has something to do with the government in power.

“It would appear that the only thing PDP will not complain about probably is the static fact that the sun rises from the East and set in the West. If they have the opportunity, they could have contest the veracity of that fact, thus making mockery of their crave for power,” he said.

Bello, therefore, called on the peace loving people of Nasarawa state to remain focused and not to be deceived by the kind of propaganda by the PDP, saying the APC members “have since moved on, taking solace in the fact that the Appeal Court shall review and reverse the judgement in favor of our party on the merit of facts and law.”
