NAHCON closes pilgrims’ registration April 30

The National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has fixed 30th of this month as deadline for registration of 2018 intending pilgrims, to enable further preparations for the exercise. The overseer, Kaduna state Pilgrims’ Welfare Board, Imam Hussaini Suleiman Tsoho, stated in an exclusive interview with Blueprint in Zaria yesterday. “Consequently, here in Kaduna state, we are closing registration of our intending pilgrims today so as to forward list of our intending pilgrims to the National Hajj Commission in good time to meet its deadline,” he said.
Imam Tsoho stated that the state was allocated the highest number of seats of 6,638 out of which about 2,300 had been booked by intending pilgrims who had deposited their N1.5 million each pending announcement of hajj fee by the commission.
Imam Suleiman further pointed out that all necessary arrangements had been put in place in Saudi Arabia to facilitate the smooth conduct of the pilgrims. Our correspondent reports that as at the time of fi ling this report, prospective pilgrims were seen collecting tellers from the pilgrims offices in Zaria and Sabon Gari local government areas of the state.
