NAF kills scores of bandits in Birnin Gwari, Giwa

 

Nigerian Air Force jet fighters killed scores of bandits in various air attacks over Birnin Gwari and Giwa local government areas of Kaduna state. 

“Air platforms conducted armed missions over locations in Birnin Gwari local government area.  These locations include Goron Dutse, Sabon Madada, Dan Sadau, Baba Doka, Namaigiya, Kaboru, Danmani, Sani Maichoko and environs,” Kaduna state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan said. 
“According to the operational feedback, bandits were seen at Sabon Madada with herds of cattle. They were engaged and neutralized accordingly. Bandits were also seen along a track connecting Kuyanbana Forest and Sabon Madada. They were likewise neutralised. 
“Several armed bandits were neutralized as air platforms carried out armed reconnaissance missions over Rahama, Tami, Sabon Birni, Galadimawa, Ungwan Farinbatu, Sabuwa, Kutemeshi, Gajere, Sabon Kuyello, Dogon Dawa, Ngade Allah, Kidandan and adjoining settlements in Birnin Gwari and Giwa local government areas. 
“An operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government revealed that although thorough scans were conducted over the general area, no suspicious activities were observed. The forest west of Gajere was nonetheless strafed with probing shots.
“The crew conducted further missions over Sabon Madada, Babban Doka, Gwaska, Gajere, and adjoining settlements. At Sabon Madada, bandits were seen with large herds of cattle fleeing the town along a track to the east of the location. They were promptly engaged and neutralized. 
“Normal activities were observed at all other covered locations. Aggressive ground and air patrols will be sustained in the general area. 
“Governor Nasir el-Rufai thanked fighter jet crew for the operational feedback, and lauded their consistency with the armed missions over the areas. The Governor also thanked all those volunteering useful information, and tasked citizenry to scale up engagement via available help lines, 09034000060 and 08170189999,” Aruwan said.
