Muslim media practitioners hail new NAHCON’s boss

The Association of Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMMP) felicitates with the new helmsman at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Mallam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, over his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This was contained in a press in Abuja signed by association’s acting chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen A. Tijjani, and acting secretary, Malam Wada Muhammad Azare.

“Let us for the record as we deemed appropriate to introduce our organization to you, as this is the first time we are writing to any leadership of NAHCON.

“The organisation, as the name goes, is a media focused organisation based in Kaduna. We believe your appointment, after many years in the federal service and a former federal permanent secretary in Aso Villa, was based conson your past outstanding performance, which was appreciated.

“Now that you have passed the test of honesty, it is important for you to also pass the test of integrity associated with power.

“Your new office calls for so many sacrifices, as you are expected to be open and ready to have listening ears. Your new assignment requires honesty and not those who work on rumours and blackmail.

“Most importantly, you must also remember that you are going to give account of your stewardship on the day of judgement. While we join many people who know your antecedents to congratulate you and wish you well, the workload in that office, requires wisdom.

“Again Sir, in order to effectively execute your new role, the success relies on how you carry everyone along in the agency on the yearly Hajj operations, especially the Hajj boards across the states in country.

“Another important area is the welfare of pilgrims which must not be compromised, but be fully protected and topmost in your plan.

“At this juncture Sir, we pray for you to succeed in your national assignment.

Assalamu alaikum waramatu Lillah Taalah Wabara katuhu,” the statement read.
