Metaverse Foreign Exchange (MTFE), a business empowerment platform, has again fed 300 residents of Jahi village in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
The group also gave out clothing to selected female residents of the community.
MTFE representative in Abuja, Arc Felix Elisha, who led the team on the humanitarian service, Saturday, said this was part of the strategies in wooing patronage and building confidence of its numerous customers.
Blueprint recalls that this would be the second time MTFE was feeding residents of Abuja; the first being the visit to Tudun-Wada community in Lugbe on the 6th of August, 2022 where the organisation fed at least 250 residents of the community.
Arc Elisha said the philanthropic gesture would be a continuous one, and prayed to God to bless the chain of MTFE donors, who pulled out resources to alleviate the suffering of the people of the areas.
Asked why the charity visit instead of playing out the business side of MTFE for better patronise for self-reliance, Arc Felix lamented that “most Nigerians don’t see the need to learn how to make money but instead are comfortable with receiving from donors and philanthropists around.”
He clarified that the trading platform is not a ponzi scheme or any form of networking scam but a business layout to teach people how to trade and make money legitimately.
“We are ready to train as many as are willing to quit poverty for a new life through legitimate means. And our office doors are wide open from Monday to Friday every week,” he explained.
Elucidating the link between MTFE and the charity visit, the team leader said the trade business is all about giving and ensuring that the world becomes a better place for all.
Speaking to the media, the beneficiaries who are dominantly women thanked MTFE for their kind gesture towards them, even as they praised the team for their philanthropic nature.
The forex trading expert admonished youths in the country to embrace making legitimate money a priority instead of roaming the streets looking for white-collar jobs.
He charged government at all levels to put orientation agencies to work in order to open the eyes of Nigerian youths to the opportunities in forex trading.
Bearing in mind that the government cannot give everyone a job, he appealed that a legal forex trading forum be established, taught and asked questions, which will improve the country’s economy and minimise crime.
