A 40-year-old man, simply identified as Anthony, yesterday committed suicide in Ibadan, two days after his wife’s death.
Blueprint gathered that the man reportedly tricked his family before heading to a nearby newly completed building at Olodo area where he hanged himself.
It was learnt that the man had, early in the day, tricked his family members that he was heading for a nearby Automated Teller Machine (ATM) to withdraw some money for the week.
Sources close to the family said few minutes after he sent a text message to inform a member of the family of his intention to commit suicide.
According to family sources, the corpse of Anthony’s wife Kemi was still in the mortuary at the University College Hospital (UCH) as at the time of sending this report.
