A 41-year-old man, Oyinlola Adekunle, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by Justice Peter Lifu of a federal high court sitting in Osogbo, Osun state, for N9.8million fraud.

The convict was said to have defrauded one Solagbade and some others to the tune of N9,820,000 with a pretence of registering them as patent right holders of Comandclem Nigeria Limited.

The offence was contrary to Section 1(1)(a) and punishable under Section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006.

Delivering judgment on the matter, Justice Lifu observed that the case was instituted in 2012 and has passed through three Judges.

He thereby sentenced the convict to one year jail on count one, two years on count two and one year on count three.

Justice Lifu held that the jail term is without option of fine and the jail term should run concurrently.

The court also ordered that the Salon car with registration number BDG 575 AG should be auctioned by the court and the proceeds be remitted to account of the complainant of the sale to be paid to the victim.
