Malagi, Bago join Nupe kingdom, mourn Galadima Nupe  

  

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris-Malagi, and Governor Bago Mohammed of Niger have joined the Etsu Nupe Yahaya Abubakar in mourning the late Alhaji Danjuma Galadima, the Galadiman Nupe, Niger state.

The minister described the late Galadima as a distinguished career public servant, stating that the deceased had a smooth relationship with the Nupe Kingdom and others.

He said, “The death of Alhaji Danjuma Galadima is a great loss not only to Kin Nupe or Niger state but to Nigeria as a whole.”

The minister spoke shortly after the funeral prayer for the late Galadima in Bida on Tuesday.

The minister, who is also the Kakakin Nupe, urged the family and Nupe Kingdom to see his death as an act of God.

“From Allah we came and to Him we shall return; the late Galadima was an embodiment of service, passion and will be missed by his people,’ the minister stated.

Malagi urged the family and the kingdom to take solace in God.

The minister prayed God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanatu Fidausi.

On his part, Governor Bago condoled with the family and the Nupe kingdom over his demise.

“This is a great loss not only to the family, Nupe but to the entire state.

He was a brother, a pillar in this emirate and he has done so much for his people.

“He also lived an exemplary life. We pray God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanatu Fidausi,” Bago said.

Earlier, the Etsu Nupe said that the chiefdom had lost a great man who contributed immensely to its development and the state at large

“We are going to miss him; he was one of my counsellors as he had contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of this community,” he said.
