Ligue 1: Nigeria’s Moffi fires brace as PSG succumb to Nice first defeat

Terem Moffi scored two goals and had an assist in Nice’s 3-2 win away to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain on Friday night.

It is PSG’s first defeat in five Ligue 1 games played so far while it was Nice’s second win in the same number of games played.

Moffi has now scored in back-to-back league games and scored three goals in five league appearances.

Moffi gave Nice the lead on 21 minutes but Kylian Mbappe equalised for PSG in the 29th minute.

Moffi then turned provider as he set up Laborde to make it 2-1 on 53 minutes in favour of Nice.

In the 68th minute Moffi then got his second goal and extended his side’s lead to 3-1.

In the 87th minute Mbappe grabbed his second but it was just a consolation goal as Nice held on to claim the three points.

Nice move up to second place on nine points while PSG occupy third on eight points.
