Letter to people of Ajio, Benue state

Peace, love and unity are lacking in most parts the country and the world in general but you are demonstrating all in your character which is a very rare thing.

There is lack of development everywhere in Benue state but your condition appears to be more devastating, which is why I am writing to advise that you should not embrace everything coming to your place as development in order not to add pains to your injury.

The mortuary built on Ajio – Yaji express way to cause more deaths is not a welcome development and I advise you to approach the owner, one Mr. Emeka, to take his business somewhere else.

To build a hospital for people to access healthcare services and for the same hospital to have a mortuary in case deaths are recorded, corpses will be deposited in there is a good thing. But for someone to come to your place and build only a mortuary, it is satanic and such development should not be accepted, no matter how great it may appear.

The level at which people are now dying in Ajio, Yaji, Koti, Ugo and other communities because of the presence of the mortuary in question close to these areas is ungodly and should not be allowed to continue.

Building only a mortuary in a place is obviously evil as we all know how some morticians harvest parts of dead bodies in their custody to sell for ritual. For an individual to come to a place and build only a mortuary without hospital, it shows he has bad intention and he is evil.

Who monitors him (Emeka) to know exactly what he does to the dead bodies under his custody? Can’t you see that it will be easy and convenient for this man to harvest parts of dead bodies in his mortuary for ritual as witnessed in other places?

The people of Ajio should open their eyes to see clearly and the neighbouring communities that are patronising the same mortuary should equally have a rethink and do something which would ensure the removal of this evil (mortuary) from Ajio.

Emeka should take the mortuary in question to his village if it is something good that attracts development. Let him go and develop his village with it and even build more there to elevate his village and his people in general.

I am calling on the decision makers in the area to please look into this and address same as it has obviously shown the intention behind the establishment of the mortuary in question is evil and inhuman.
