Kuje Council workers lament paucity of fund

By Donald Iorchir

Activities at the secretariat of the Kuje Area Council are currently going on  low ebb due to what staff in various departments described as the inability of the council chairman Hon. Ishaku Shaban Tete to make funds available.
Recent investigations at the secretariat showed that not much is happening as request for funds to carry out official function have always met with a negative response from the chairman, who Blueprint learnt, has consistently maintained that there is no cash in the council’s offer to run daily administrative affairs.

Some staff of the council who would not want their names imprint rather observed that, the problem lies with the chairman administrative style.
They maintained that activity at the councils has continued to decline since the chairman assumed office. Although the chairman could not be reached to comment in the allegation, the level of dissolution among the staff, especially the junior cadre, has manifested in their altitude to work.
We also gathered that some staff have resorted to private business and thus spend more time outside their offices, while many more spend time in group discussion.
