Kogi’s Assembly recommendations to remove Justice Ajanah good riddance-PDP

The Kogi state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the Koton karfe High Court ruling that nullified the Assembly’s resolution recommending removal of Kogi Chief Judge as good riddance to bad rubbish.

In a statement signed by Bode Ogunmola which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Sunday, commended the courage exhibited by the judiciary, described the ruling as a watershed that has proven that absolute power which the executive wanted to exercise cannot not stand the test of judicial logic.

The PDP lauded the High Court in Koton-Karfe for setting aside and nullifying the April 2nd resolution of the state House of Assembly calling for removal of the state Chief Judge, Justice Nasir Ajanah, for gross misconduct as hope for the citizens that the several infractions allegedly committed by the APC led administration in the state would also not stand the test of time.

The statement says from the onset it was optimistic that the resolution of the House in its recommendations that Alhaji Yahaya Adamu, Chief Registrar of the state High Court, to the state Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for disciplinary action for gross misconduct was another drama taken too far, praised Justice Alaba Omolaye-Aiileye, the High Court Judge for quashing the resolution in his ruling on motion NO. HC/KK02M/201 in the SUIT NO. HC/KK/11CV/2018 brought by the Chief Judge, Ajanah and Chief Registrar of the state High Court, Alhaji Yahaya Adamu.

The PDP described the ruling as victory for the oppressed and malnourished Kogi citizens who have lived in the inflicted fear and poverty created by the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration.
