Kogi: I ‘ll be on ballot paper as governorship candidate – Ajaka

A governorship aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the just concluded Kogi state primary election, Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, has assured the public, especially his supporters that his name will be on the ballot paper during the election.

Ajaka, Deputy National Publicity Secretary and a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party, made the declaration despite the submission of Ahmed Usman Ododo as the APC) governorship candidate in the November 11th Kogi state election.

Ajaka alongside seven others had rejected the outcome of the shadow election, accusing governor Yahaya Bello of imposition.

In a statement Tuesday in Abuja titled, “Kogi Guber Primary: Justice Quest Continues”, her personally signed, Ajaka appealed to his supporters to be calm, as he has initiated the necessary mechanisms to endure justice is served.

“I bring you the latest update on our quest for justice. While the battle may not be over, we have initiated all necessary mechanisms to ensure that our voices are heard, and justice is served.

“I implore you to remain patient, stay steadfast in prayers, and maintain absolute trust in our principal. This journey to freedom may be a long and arduous one, but with your unwavering support and commitment, we will emerge victorious.

“Let us all fasten our seat belts and embark on this journey together, with no retreat or surrender in sight. I am confident that with your continued support, I will be on the ballot come November 11, 2023.”
